Creake and Crabbing
Didn’t venture far today. Went to nearby Creake Abbey – of which there is not much left! We then went for a walk around the paths and lanes to North Creake, before returning to have a late picnic lunch in the Abbey grounds. We then headed to Wells-next-the-Sea for a spot of crabbing! The boys got down to business using leftover cocktail sausages from our picnic as the bait – the crabs loved them!
I had a wander around the harbour, watched the boats unload their catches (of crabs) and had a wee look around the town, regularly checking in with the crabbers. This is a view from the harbour.
We headed home for a lovely tea at our local village pub.
