Waspish
I'm feeling a bit that way at the moment, except for the waist!! I put it down to this hot weather. Not that I'm complaining about this wonderful weather we're having at the moment, just would rather be in Cornwall, or anywhere by the sea!
Had a lovely day today though; whilst Mr T was having a perfect gliding day with a Westerly wind and lots of clouds (thermals) I went to the Prees Heath Nature Reserve here in the hope I might see the last of the Silver-Studded Blue Butterflies there, and I did get some shots of one or two, along with Peacocks, Skippers, Gatekeepers, Meadow Browns, Large Heaths, Coppers and a very, very lazy Six-Spot Burnet Moth and then by the pond I watched lots of newly hatched Darter Dragonflies emerging from the reeds, drying their newly unfurled wings in the sunshine before darting off over my head and some Emperors patrolling. A few of the Butterflies and the Moth here
I met a man on the Heath, with a camera taking photos of butterflies, so I thought it was safe to engage him in conversation!! turned out he was an authority on butterflies, dragonflies and a keen Birder, so I was privileged to have a very knowledgeable companion on most of my walk around the Reserve.
On the way home I called into my favourite
Gardens for a cuppa and a piece of their gorgeous g/f cake. The Gardens were looking at their best.
And so another weekend comes to a close! Have a good week everyone.
