Commonwealth Games Seven's excitement

We were up early this morning and straight into the car for a road trip to watch the morning session of the Commonwealth Games Seven's.

It was a day of amazement and excitement for CJ - starting with us arriving at the park and ride - there were buses everywhere and we got to ride on one, right at the front. When we arrived, we had to stop during the walk to the venue to get a Scotland flag for CJ. And of course the flag was waved the whole way in!

Once inside, CJ was fascinated with the seats that folded away and spent ages running up and down and empty row pulling every seat down and then letting it fold back up.

And then the games started - with cheering, clapping, music and dancing! CJ got involved in it all. He would sit there clapping madly with the crowd. But his favourite was dancing on S2's shoulders - his arms were going like crazy and his smile a mile wide! He really didn't want to stop and continued whenever he could. He was even very good and would watch the games and point when things happened.

But all this excitement and the early morning start soon caught up to him and he cuddled down for a quick nap - we don't know how he slept through all the noise but he was happily snoring away, until we woke him so he wouldn't miss all the big games - especially New Zealand!

Once he was awake again, he continued with his watching, cheering and clapping. But we then introduced a new activity - during the Scotland he was allowed to wave his flag! What a smile that created!

What a brilliant day and a perfect event to take him to!
