365 #205 - Clan Headstones
9.30 pm and alone on Culloden Moor (or so I thought until a very old man with a very large dog came out of the fog and scared the hell out of me).
The thick Haar coming in off the coast smothered the moor in atmosphere and made perfect conditions for a shot of these stones. Each one details the name of a clan that are buried there (in some cases "Mixed Clans").
These stones were erected by the landowner around a hundred years after the battle.
I was there until 10 pm and visibility was down to around 70 feet, but it was still light and the moisture from the fog made the heather smell incredible.
