Tarbert Loch Fyne
Gosh what a day. Up with the lark, drove to the ferry , crossing over to Islay was ok, got there, went to where I should have been but no one to meet with though they did wander in.
Gosh it was wild weather wise, the North wind is sooo cold. Had to hot foot it to the other end of the island to get another dam ferry and by this time it was a raging gale.
The ferry overshot the pier and hared off down the Sound of Jura but finally came back and had to use all its power and bow thrusters to go against the tide to get to the pier.
Once on board I know it was going to be rocky so I settled dwon as I am not a good sailor.
Finally got to dry land by 5pm and hared up the road home
Was and am sdtill feeling horrible cause husband passed on his manflue and I have a searing h eadache and a runny nose and guess what? I got visitors, they had just pulled up at the gate at the same time as me!!!! So it was off to get more food and cook steaks, etc , we are now sitting in front of the proverbial raring fire and all are relaxed and cjilled.
Long lie tomorrow and maybe off to show my visitors some appaloosian horses that live nearby, who knows
Have a good weekend all
