Stairway to Heaven?

The Akaroa cemetery has two parts if not three. One for the Anglicans, another for Catholics and Desenters. The Desenters being slightly separate below and separate from the Catholics. This village was initially settled by the French, and the village now embraces the French theme.
The old lighthouse erected 1880 at the harbour head, was moved after a hundred years, in 1980, to the village by the lighthouse historic society.
