At last it's in

So at last the water softener is installed, a bag of salt has been supplied, and the garden looks less like a WW1 battlefield as all the trenches have been filled in. It doesn't work though. Someone else has to come and commission it, but they haven't told me when that will happen.
But as this is France, and the whole country stops work in August, I imagine they will send someone this week, and as we haven't paid one cent yet, presumably they will want their money. So I have every confidence that someone will appear to press the start button very soon!
