Working On The James Stevenson No.14

I was up at Tichmarsh Marina today working with 4 other guys on The James Stevenson No. 14 life boat. We were giving her a coat of paint before she goes off on a trip to London this weekend.

This Life Boat was in service at Walton from 1900 to 1928. While in service it would have been kept in the Old Boat House (which is now the Maritime Museum at Walton-on-the Naze) and would have been lunched from the beach.
