Chester Zoo...

We went to Chester Zoo today to watch Em feed the giraffes, the gift we bought her for her 18th birthday.

I'm undecided about zoos in general. Part of me thinks they're too small, that the animals don't have enough room and they'd be better off in the wild. Then I think about the endangered species and figure at least they're being looked after. I'm still no further forward but Chester was way better than Edinburgh by a mile. And I saw a real live elephant for the first time ever. 41 and I've never seen an elephant!

We had a lovely day out with all of Sarah's family... I made all of them write in Barney's little book after they'd been for a ride. I suspect they think I'm nuts.
