Lucky Escape

Today Jenny ran from Fletcher Bay to Stoney Bay around the top of the Coromandel Peninsula, about 10km. I did the right thing and elected to drive which took 2 1/2 hrs.

We met at Stony Bay and after she showered and refreshed in our self sufficient campervan she then had to push us out of a muddy patch.

Actually it was nearly a tragedy as we were the only ones in the region, but after 30 minutes of pushing, throwing gravel under wheels, revving, falling face first and getting mud in the face, we were clear and back on the road to Whitianga.
