We made it yesterday! The car was fixed by mid-afternoon and we were able to take to the road again. Uneventful journey, apart from the sporadic meowing from the back of the car where our two travel-weary cats sounded their disapproval at being locked in their transport cases.

Yes, the garden/meadow/savannah is immensely overgrown. I'll have that sorted out in a few days - agricultural tools will be needed and used.

Meanwhile, we are enjoying the peaceful surroundings. And celebrating the beginning of these, our long-awaited holidays.
