Darter

I felt I had set myself a challenge having said that I would try to snap a Common Blue butterfly with it's wings open, so I visited the nature reserve in search of my prey. Much to my surprise there were several of them about on the wild flowers but all were very reluctant to pose for me, so this is the best I could do today and I still regard the challenge as open until I can snap one with fully open wings :-))
There were several dragonflies nipping around too so I chose one of those for today's blip, I think it is a female of some kind of Darter but I couldn't get a good enough look to identify it properly.
Another really hot day with full on sun so I didn't stay long at the nature reserve and I had several errands to run which also cut my visit short. I'll have to try again another day :-))
