Cool
Day off and although the sun still shines the humidity has dropped off considerably and it's alot cooler; nevertheless we took my car into the garage this morning to have its aircon topped up - wish we had had it done before we went to Cornwall but then we didn't know we were going to have to take my car all that long way.
We then went to Whitchurch (Shrops) in Mr. T's ever so nice new thirdhand car to take my laptop into the Computer Shop there. Will took about an hour to fix the problems and then T and I walked down the High Street and were pleased to see the Town so busy with lots of local businesses doing well - unlike our poor beleaguered town. We had a spot of lunch upstairs by a window in an olde worlde cafe and watched the world go by.
On the way home we called into the Parachute Centre to pick up a couple of parachutes which our friend Martin had re-rigged and were ready to go back to the Gliding Club. Finally we called in on other friends, the husband of which is a client and he and I went through some forms for me to take back to the office tomorrow whilst M and T sat out in the lovely garden under the Wisteria Arch and beside the pond which was full of these gorgeous lilies. These friends are off to Baffin Island tomorrow hopefully to photograph some of the wildlife there such as the barren-ground Caribou, which lives on the sparse vegetation, the Arctic fox which hunts other land animals such as lemmings. Arctic Hares, whales and Polar Bears to name but a few. Joe Cornish, the Landscape/Widlife Photographer is also going on this trip ...... lucky them.
Off to get my car back now and dinner will most probably be on time this evening?!
