Beach day

Late start turned into panic when Jennie arrived with James, Emma and Lydia and we weren't dressed! It was a grey drizzly day and we arrived at Nicks chalet at 2pm and had to eat our picnic inside. Miraculously the clouds cleared as Lucy arrived with Hector and we had such a sunny afternoon on the gorgeous Warren beach. Lucy's mum joined us with a killer crossword, we noticeably improved after breaking into the wine and lager. The children (10 between us) surfed, swam, buried each other in the sand, explored and played with Jack the dog. Such an easy afternoon, great company and sunshine. Jennie and I did a BBQ for Lucy and her mum and chatted for ages. Lovely day.
