An unexpected turn

Yep. He had another seizure. A big one. Right as i was on my way to school to get Marley, thankfully i put him in his mobility chair which has a 5 point harness so he was safe. I stopped and reclined it for him but realized that wasn't helping as he was choking on his saliva, so i sat the chair up and held him. When he came to, he started coughing quite hard.

He then fell asleep so i reclined it again. The other problem is there's nothing to hold his head in place so i had to push him with one hand and use the other to hold his head from falling to the side.

I called ahead to school and asked them to get Marley ready, i explained what happened so when i got there he was ready to go. Debbi who used to be Kanyes teacher aid was there and she helped me with Kanye and Marley which i really appreciated. I then left and walked home as fast as i could to put kanye to bed except he didn't want to be in bed so i put him on the couch with a lot of pillows on the floor in case he fell off.

I wasn't expecting him to have another seizure, he seemed to be on the up, he hadn't had one since very early this morning.

Harper was in the front pack the whole time and is a lot better today, he seemed to be overtired as once he'd had a couple of naps he perked up .Though he slept really badly last night and grizzled/cried/couldn't get to sleep . I don't know how many times i looked at the clock but i was glad -even though exhausted -when it was time to get up. Today could have been a 2 coffee day but i didn't have the energy to make the second one.

At school today Marley got one on one interaction with the wee intellectually disabled boy who scared Marley by accident the other day. I was really pleased that they did this, i want him to see that there's no reason for him to be scared of him. In the note and photo i got it showed them playing together and it said that the wee boy signed 'sorry' to Marley that he just wanted to play.

I felt bad that the boy said sorry, he didn't intentionally scare Marley, he thought he was playing with the other boys who were actually teasing him. Nonetheless it was a great move by school and alongside this we have been implementing to leave the wee boy alone and if the other boys are chasing him to do something else.

The last few days hes been saying after school ' i left him alone today i went to the other playground'. For getting through this tough situation for Marley we're giving him the attitude plate again tonight.

We're having spaghetti bolognese then for dessert i have some joy bars, those little bars of ice cream covered in choc.

So mine and Andres date night that was meant to be tomorrow night isn't going to happen. We cant leave kanye when hes still like this. unfortunately we cant take him out either so i said to Andre that ill make the dish we always love to get when we go out -chicken katsu and we can have a night in and watch a movie or something.
