Preview

Thursday was another day of waiting. After queuing for ages last week for the half price Tattoo Preview tickets we waited a long time before being allowed entry to the venue. Then the Tattoo started more than 20 minutes late and at the end it took ages for us to exit. Our bright idea to park outside the central area was not so good when we discovered that there were no buses after midnight, so instead of waiting in huge queues for a taxi we walked the two and a half miles back to the car. Fortunately it was a dry night and a suitable temperature for walking.
We felt the performance lacked the lively atmosphere of last year’s Tattoo and I also discovered my camera battery was dead after only a few photos. This shows the Trinidad and Tobago Steel Band with the dark figures of the press photographers taking photos.
