Post holiday Blues. (Or browns.)

The big surprise when we finally got home last night from Cornwall, was that these lilies that had come into flower during our absence. So first thing this morning, I blipped these rather than harbours and pasty shops. I’m in the ‘can’t be bothered’ post-holiday period. I’m sure it will pass.

I see on the BBC News website today that Plymouth Council are going to employ a Harris Hawk called Izzy to sort out the seagulls that keep stealing peoples’ food. But Izzy will only work on tuesdays. I’m sure there must be a reason for this - perhaps other Accipiters and Raptors are a bit put out and want a piece of the action for themselves. Maybe she has commitments on the other days. Or perhaps she’s negotiating a deal with St Ives. Who knows.
