The forecast was for more rain so we drove to Kielder hoping that at least the forests walks might offer a bit of shelter (in the car, if not actually in the forest). And then to Hexham and a wee wander around there once the drizzle had subsided and back Haltwhistle and dinner at the dog-friendly Black Bull, which had a fine selection of beer, nice grub and many dogs, which made controlling the mutt a bit of a challenge.
