Rain sodden spider webs

On a rainy day I decided to take yesterday’s experimentation a bit further and look for raindrops in the garden. The best collections of raindrops were on the horizontal branches of some fir shrubs we have. However, they were tucked away so it was difficult to get a clear shot of the overall web so I did a little judicious pruning. Whilst the raindrops glisten it is much better if you look at this image LARGE as you can then see the individual strands of the spider web and the refracted images of in some of the raindrops of the foliage beneath them. Still a long way from controlled refracted images (eg of flowers) but interesting nonetheless.
