A Reyt Gud #Yorkshire Day

Today marked the 39th Yorkshire Day and there was lots of things going on in Huddersfield at lunchtime.

I joined the celebratory Yorkshire tea party at Huddersfield Library and Art Gallery which had been attended earlier in the morning by the Mayor Cllr Ken Smith. I had a chat over tea and cakes with a lovely lady called Anne and together we managed to make progress with the Yorkshire Places word search competition.

Complete with Yorkshire goody bag, I checked out the other events in town including the town crier, digi van and the ‘Pride of Yorkshire’ stall.

On leaving work I noticed that even Harold was trimmed up for the event - here he is sporting a Yorkshire scarf in his usual spot in front of the station in St. George's Square.
