Lightbulb moment.....

It occurred to me today
That if you wanted to climb a mountain
You would do as much to help yourself as you could
You would eat the right foods
You would read the right books
You would think long and hard
You would search inside yourself to check your motives and capabilities
You would make sure that you were as healthy and fit as possible
You would try to find the perfect tools and equipment
You would consult trained professionals
So that you were able to make this long and difficult journey safely and successfully

However,
If you lived on a plateau at the top of the mountain
And everything you needed was within easy reach
And nothing seemed that difficult or demanding
You wouldn't need to do any of those things
You could coast along
Barely scratching the surface of your life
And not worrying about motives or capabilities
You could eat what you liked
And never look deep inside yourself to see what was there

This is what I think the pills do
They pop you on the plateau
So there is no climbing to be done
And you stop searching inside yourself
