Les Mis
We bought the tickets a few months ago and the other day D decided we should stay over in London and booked us a hotel and dinner reservation near to the theatre.
My dad and Alfie were going to the Emirates so we dropped them off on the way (a bit of a squeeze in D's car) and headed over to Chinatown to quickly check in and rushed over to The Queens Theatre for a speedy G&T before the show started.
It was fabulous; brilliant singing, sets etc. I've seen the film several times but it was all new to D. I was worried he wouldn't enjoy it but he thought it was great. I cried A LOT at the end, even though I knew what was going to happen.
Dinner was not exactly what I was expecting. The restaurant was crowded, busy and noisy. We almost had to shout at each other to have a conversation. There are aspects of London I love, but some I really don't like. I was glad to get back to the peace and safety of our hotel room.
