Moules Mad
Alf loves his seafood so he is in his element here.
We have put our very limited French to the test today. First, a trip to the supermarket to stock up on essentials then this evening we walked into town for dinner. The majority of people who holiday here are French and it is certainly not geared up for English tourists. We have managed to order meals and do our shopping without embarrassing ourselves too much.
It was a beautifully hot and sunny day so after our shopping trip we went up the nearest beach. The sea was miles out and there seemed to be hundreds of people out there collecting what we presume were some sort of shellfish.
The boys played boules then pops and Alfie had a 'Guess Who' tournament. We need more entertainment for tomorrow though. I think some beach tennis might be in order.
Hoping for a quieter night tonight. There was some very loud singing on the campsite at about 1am this morning.
It feels like we're settling in but still lots to explore.
