Ribe
Today we went to Kristianstad in southern Sweden, but before we left Denmark we went to its oldest town, Ribe. It used to be a sea port, but land reclamation has left it well inland and protected from flood surges that used to regularly flood it. It is a lovely old town with typical colourwash houses and narrow streets. It was warm and sunny again and the old kirk had a great view over the surrounding countryside. This is one of the typical streets in the south west of the town.
