Blini with Salmon Roe
Lunch today was blini made of buckwheat flour, topped with sour cream, salmon roe, fresh dill and a little cracked pepper. The first course was borsch (борЩ) with chopped potato and hard boiled egg, sour cream and horse radish (хрен). Halva with pistachio nuts for dessert. All washed down with a nice Mosel Riesling and concluded with an afternoon nap. That's what Sundays are for...
