Failte gu an t-Oban

A day of every weather imaginable ! Thunder, lightening, (power cut!), torrential showers, blistering sunshine. Welcome to Oban !

Headed into town to pick up provisions and a ferry timetable for a trip to Mull and Iona on Friday. No 2 wasn't in the best of moods, until we found the Oban Chocolate factory. By the time we had over indulged in some retail choccy-therapy, the sun was splitting the skies.

Popped into the the Cathedral on the right of this blip. Always a peaceful place to shelter from the storms, the girls lit candles for Nana and Granda.

Took this blip up at McCaig's follie, may have to head up if there's a good sunset one night.

Back at Kilmelford, the girls and I spent a pleasant hour in the Sauna Pool and Hot tub.

Watched an excellent 'To Sir, with love' with a very young Lulu, then switched over to see her again in the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony. Bit disappointed though - far too much of Kylie - don't we have Scottish bands we could showcase?
