GOLD!

As part of the Commonwealth Games celebrations, the Kelpies were illuminated in gold - recognising all the medal-winners - on the evening of Friday 1st August.

I went along around 11pm and the place was buzzing. The car-parks were busy, there were lots of families with young children (even at that time of night) and also lots of photographers, each trying to get that iconic shot. There may even have been another Blipper or two among them!

The Games have really captured the enthusiasm around these parts.
