Celebrating

It was a day of good news, our son received a nice raise at his job and our daughter arrived safely at her final intern location (after three days in a van). In celebration of their accomplishments, we sampled a new brand of sparkling wine. I don't own a true macro lens (yet), so I had to make do by shooting as close as possible and then cropping very tightly. I'm pretty sure I could have improved the quality even more by using a tripod, but that would have been a lot of extra work and detracted from the celebratory aspect of the afternoon. For us non-professionals, photography is often a balance of getting the shot without disrupting the ongoing activity too much.
