Lest we forget!

This gravestone is in an odd little graveyard in St Neots, not near a church, just all on its own. But this gravestone struck me as interesting on this particular day.

All my heritage is Southern Irish but my paternal grandad sailed with the Irish Merchant Navy who as neutrals helped bring food supplies to the UK during WW1. So for that reason I am blipping this.

But when I see the news this evening I feel so sad and I wonder how much we have learned.
