Hare-raising experience!

So I managed the dawn raid I was planning and was rewarded with a gorgeous morning and lots of good views of hares dashing about the fields. This one (a youngster, I think) was lying doggo but then decided to put on a bit of a show, which was a real treat.
Very few birds around - I guess this is the quiet season now that the frenzy of courtship and first broods is over. A few Linnet, some Grouse, a Kestrel hunting and the inevitable Goldfinches raiding the thistle seeds
