We had an AMAZING start to our day today. I was chatting on Messenger with my bestie in Aus. For the first time in all her years over there, we actually then managed to FaceTime! I was SOO excited to "Meet" my beautiful baby godson for the first time, to chat to my big boy godson and see my little lady goddaughter popping in and out of the conversation. Katie was absolutely delighted to see the three children in the screen together at one point. It was nearly the blip - the screen shot of the moment. She was so so happy. And I was absolutely overjoyed.

Mid morning, we went out with our lovely friends. 5 girls, 2 mummies, 1 brilliant day. We headed to a huge council run park in the city that we love. The children wanted lunch immediately so we picnicked. They had a run, we headed to the play area. We then headed to the fabulous climbing area - big proper stone exploring areas for them to do some serious climbing. Katie much prefers that kind of exploring and climbing to playing in the park equipment. We had a drink, played on the outdoor musical sculptures before heading to the animals. Katie liked the parrots. She really liked the meerkats. She absolutely LOVED the racoon dogs. Ice cream break before they had an explore of a different area and we set off home.

We dropped two of the five girls off and I took the two little ones to do some blackberrying. Miss L realised for the first time that she does in fact like fresh blackberries. We managed to fill quite a big tub. And 2 small tummies, We took them back to their house and the girls headed off to play. We were invited to stay for tea and afterwards took the three of them to the small park near the house. There was tears at bedtime as we said goodbye to them. Katie absolutely loves them!
