THE EPITOME OF CAMOUFLAGE
This Katydid has wings that look exactly like leaves – the shape, veining & color are like an oval, bright green leaf. I found this one on my sweet potato vines today – a perfect match, and the best camouflage I’ve ever seen!
I also found a honeybee that was incredibly coated with pollen. I hated to tell him he was dropping more pollen ON the flower than he was taking from it! You can see he’s leaving pollen footprints on this black-eyed susan. Since I blipped a bee yesterday, I’ll put this pollen-coated bee on Flickr.
Thank you for all the super comments, hearts and stars on my bumblebee yesterday. I was completely surprised to see it made it to the Spotlight Page!
