Grizedale Start

Day three of five orienteering events in the Lake District. We were in Grizedale forest today with views over Esthwaite Water and the fells beyond. The courses were physically tough and times were on the long side.

As I got tired my concentration waned and I made a silly mistake at one control. The weather was overcast but very warm so it took lots of fluid before I felt properly hydrated.

This is the pre start involving a road crossing to get competitors to the start line where the map is picked up and the timing started.

Looking forward to the rest day tomorrow despite the forecast not looking brilliant!
