Blipfest
Oh my goodness, let me see if I can remember everything today.
After a really enjoyable evening last night I had a lie in before heading into Glasgow City Centre for the afternoon.
The party that has gone alongside these Games has been nothing short of phenomenal.
I queued to get into the superstore to get my sister a Clyde mascot. None to be had: he has really captured everyone's heart.
I have previously got into Hampden Park by showing my accreditation at the spectator entrance.
But not tonight. Nooooooo!
After being directed to workforce and being told to go to the other workforce entrance I was about to go home. By this time I was soaked through.
Last Try at the last gate: SUCCESS! I'm in!
Luckily I'd taken a complete change of clothes too.
So to the action. The blip is me with Jo Pavey after her magnificent bronze medal in the 5000m. I was lucky enough to find a seat at the front at the start of the race so I was able to wish Jo and my friend Helen Clitheroe well.
Afterwards the exchange, hugs and photos that I got with Jo were on live TV. Cue my Facebook and text messages going crazy.
Today's photo has already been "liked" by over 200 people on social media.
In previous blips I have referred to the Australian and English pole vaulters. After the 5000m I made my way to sit with the pole vault coaches.
I'm so pleased I did. The rain was torrential and it made conditions very difficult. In the end only 4 athletes cleared the bar at all, resulting in them getting medals.
I was fascinated by the interaction between coaches and athletes discussing tactics and strategy. The eventual winner, Alana Boyd of Australia, was due to enter the competition later. However, due to the conditions, she came in at a lower height and retained her title ahead of Wales' Sally Eaves.
A chance to sing Jerusalem when the England 4 x 400 relay team won gold.
And then the final event. The men's 4 x 100 relay that featured a certain Usain Bolt.
What a showman and what a gentleman.
Before the race he was dancing to The Proclaimers 500 miles and working the crowd.
Then to business. England led at the final handover. Not for long as Bolt did what he does.....
On the lap of honour, a medal ceremony started. Who silenced the crowd around him for it to be shown its rightful respect? Yes, Usain Bolt. Top marks.
Do I shake his hand or get a photo?
I got both!
A memorable night again.
