ELUSIVE BUTTERFLY

So many of you blippers post the most beautiful butterfly shots, but I can’t seem to have one land long enough for a picture. When I try to follow one around the yard, I'm reminded of a cat playing with a laser light – here, there, around in circles! When this one became interested in these little yellow blossoms on clover, I had high hopes. It appears to be the white variety of a Spring Azure – at least the markings match and its range is the right part of the country. Wingspan is ¾” to 1¼ ” (19 – 32 mm) – very little.
