The view north from Hengistbury Head, Dorset ....
.... to Mudeford Sandbank and Quay
In the foreground is Mudeford Sandbank, with its numerous beach huts. For beach huts they are of a generous size, and most seem to be equipped with solar panels. A quick dip into the internet revealed that one is for sale at a modest £150,000.
To the left is Christchurch Harbour, fed by the rivers Stour and Avon. The narrow channel between Sandbank and Quay (with the old fishing village of Mudeford) leads to the English Channel on the right. The exit channel is just discernable on the enlarged version of this photo.
I left in a large chunk of sky as it is just as dramatic as the landscape/seascape.
