Staithes

We went along the coast today. Staithes doesn't quite have the glamour of Robin Hood's Bay and the history is not on show, but it still has its interest. We enjoyed the in and outs of the back lanes, which have some remarkable trompe d'oiel paintings on the houses' walls tucked away.

This is the 'postcard' view of the village - although the vantage point is not immediately obvious, and it is a fair climb from the bay .
