Part III
The time elapsed between thinking of and the delivery of a new platform is about four years. An awful lot of planning, meetings, arguing and troubleshooting has to be tackled before your platform is there. But that's not all; you also have to pump up some oil and get it ashore to keep the financial guys happy. After the module was placed yesterday, the hook-up started. To get it up and running. In the mean-time the infrastructure must be completed like pipelines, shuttle tankers, receiving facilities onshore and much more. On the picture you can see the cranes of the platform already up and running, the first sign that the hook-up has started. Next step is the planning for the next items to be place on top on this module. By the way; the module lifted by the Hermod yesterday was her heaviest lift ever.
