Sea mist

Picked up our morning coffee from the same shack as yesterday and had quite a chat about a car crash up the road-we feel like locals!
Drove down to Carmel ....first the village in the valley where we had a wander round looking at the art (only one decent studio) and then over to a cafe for lunch glorious sunshine....just had to try the wood fired artichokes given how many we've seen growing round here recently! Delicious.
Drove down to Carmel by the sea but the sea mist had rolled in. Wandered around the touristy shops on our way to the ocean for a paddle, but didn't stay long given it was getting cool and grey.
Decided to venture down to Big Sur anyway, and loved the drive down-we stopped lots of times to take photos of the views but I've chosen this eroded cliff one instead...like the textures and forms.
We came home via the lovely 17 mile drive around the peninsula between Carmel and Monterey....some amazing wind sculpted trees and unbelievably positioned houses.
