how do they know?

I've not been away for about two years. Somehow, despite being out of their experience, the puppies know something is wrong. Emily's ears were down, Grace wouldn't leave my side and Storm didn't look happy at all.

My sister and I left our own families and puppies behind to visit our uncle who's wife died yesterday. 3 and a half hours drive and here we are. We visited the funeral directors today and have set things in motion. We are staying overnight and back home tomorrow.
