Tropical Downpour?

Before the rain the day was extremely hot and humid ... and then this tremendous downpour started just before we arrived home which kept us trapped in the car. The road was running like a fast moving river and no doubt has deposited more stones and debris over our newly swept pavement and road. (The tail end of Tropical Storm Bertha is forecast for tomorrow so no point in sweeping up gain today!)

We ended up watching the documentary film about Vivien Maeir yesterday evening (the Chicago nanny who's vast photographic archive of street photographs was discovered after her death). It feels so wrong that she died in poverty and now a small group of men who own the archive are making vast amounts of money from her work.
