Magpie Moth (Abraxas grossulariata)

It was another of those drippy days where you can't stop sweating as soon as you go out and do anything. One day it will get fresher! However, I had been relaying some paving slabs in the garden this morning!

I went out for a short walk and it was just as humid. This was taken in Harsfold Lane, Wisborough Green as an experiment. The camera is not brilliant at all at this and this was the best I could do as a close up and it is tolerable. Fortunately, the subject was having a long rest as some do which helped! I saw quite a lot of wildlife as a Heron not far from this picture was waiting for his next meal and a fox slunk off as I went through one of the fields - and I could smell him as well!
