The Heart of Innovation

Creativity is a real strong point here at Scotland's Learning Partnership. We have lots of lovely learners and providers who give up their time to make things better for others, and work to get people back into education.

So it comes as a bit of a shock when our blue sky thinking is 'borrowed' by people who should know better to make a quick buck as my international guests called it today.

I was saddened today as I remembered something I heard the late dear Margo MacDonald tell working class people 'you are better than you think you are-and better than they have tried to teach you to think you are'.

Its a pity more of us left behind don't act in the same way. She also said that she didn't want a Scotland where we thought small and did small things and I couldn't agree more. So let's work together for a common good that makes a difference to all of us - let's think big and think better.

Fear keeps us focused on the past or worried about the future. If we can acknowledge our fear, we can realize that right now we are okay. Right now, today, we are still alive, and our bodies are working marvelously. Our eyes can still see the beautiful sky. Our ears can still hear the voices of our loved ones.
