$170 million well spent

The lad took me kicking and screaming to see the Guardians of the Galaxy. I like sci-fi a lot but I wasn't in the mood for it.
What a brilliant experience!
For me, the movie isn't so much about the story, it's more about the outstanding special effects and production values. I was totally absorbed by them.
How many Oscars will it win?
Maybe not for the acting but it's a racing cert for tech and effects categories.
If you haven't seen it yet, and you're not a sci-fi fan, you should still go and marvel at what can be done these days.
BTW, it's recouped $220 million already.

Ah well. Until tomorrow....
