Hema

I'm on the look out for cushions, and wanted to check out Zara Home again. It meant a trek into Kingston on a Friday afternoon. Rookie mistake. The traffic is awful the closer you get, so it was an hour each way.

I didn't see anything I wanted in Zara Home, so treated myself to one of those fruit smoothies from the juice bar- yummy! I also wanted to find the Dutch store, Hema, that opened here a few weeks back. It was interesting, but a less exciting version of Ikea, and a lot smaller. Still, it was interesting to have a browse, although I didn't buy anything. Actually that's a lie, as I bought a bag of Stroopwafel's (?) for £1.75!

I had a date in the evening. It sounded like it would be good. The guy picked a place in Sloane Square, andwanted to meet at 9pm. Unfortunately we picked just about the worst time to do it, as it poured down here from about 5pm, and it felt like winter. I was hoping the trekking through the rain to get there would pay off, but sadly not!

The pub was THE most boring pub I've ever been to - NO MUSIC AT ALL???!!!

It was obvious straight away that he did not exactly match the glossy looking photographs that were on his Tinder page ( I know, there's a shocker, meeting someone off of Tinder is not likely to end well!). Lesson learned? Always look for full body pics so you can get a truer picture of the person. He was a very calm and nice guy, but we didn't have much to talk about. I ended up telling him my relationship disasters! Lasted an hour then headed home.

It's a shame, as it makes me sound very superficial, ie; it's all about looks. But it's not that, you have to be attracted to the person physically if it can ever go beyond friendship. And it's a package really. Gorgeous guy, heart of gold, good morals, great sense of humour.... I'm still looking for it! Well, truth be told I thought I'd found it, but I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Oh well, back to Tinder I go...... :-)
