First game
For the start of the 2014/15 football season, two of my granddaughters - Olivia (left) and Megan - joined me to see Coventry lose unluckily 3-2 at Bradford City. Some may regard that as a cruel way for them to begin a week staying with me but they took it in good part, joining, in this photograph, with the Sky Blue fans' latest protest at the way the football authorities have allowed the Club's absurd exile in Northampton.
The match was eventful for Coventry's new captain, Reba Johnson, seen here scoring our first equaliser. He later conceded a penalty for Bradford to go 2-1 up. Just minutes before the end of the game, he scored a second equaliser, provoking great celebrations amongst the Sky Blues' travelling supporters which, as so often, were premature. Bradford went and scored a third goal immediately. Typical!
Apart from the actual football, there were some very blippable details in the City and the familiar sight of the other teams' annoying "mascot" - in this instance Billy Bantam.
