Treasurer's House- York
First day in York for a short city break with a good friend. After buying an ice cream from an ice cream boat on the river, we decided to go to a National Trust Property, Treasurer's House. The house went under very many changes over the centuries, and was eventually bought by an eccentric who renovated and decorated the house before donating to the National Trust. As we went through the house the guide's told us about various ghosts that are rumoured to haunt the building including a women who killed her husband in the house.
This photo was taken in the Princess's room named in honour of a royal visit to the house. I noticed this slightly obscured blurred reflection in the ivory mirror. I liked the ghostly feel to it. The figure wasn't framed in the mirror as I would have liked as my friend moved when she was discussing the ivory trade with one of the guides.
