Happy Birthday

It's Dave and Denise's 53rd birthday.
Through the 35 years that we have known them they have been considered one unit. You know, like one plus one equals one. Dave and Denise, or D & D as we have always called them, (except about 30 years ago when Denise was nursing her youngins I briefly renamed them D & Double D) have been close to Peggy & I for our entire married life. I mean , we were in her room for the birth of their son, close. We've laugh, cried, raised children, buried parents, married off kids, travelled and shared a gozillion meals together.

Dave has been my confidant, my wine and cigar buddy, our personal I.T. guy(repairing our computers countless times) and the wood working genius that put the "home" in my home office. A fabulous cook, he's encouraged me to take a cooking class beginning next week. Dave & I even picked grapes and made a Cabernet Sauvignon in 1979 that took first place at the Orange County Fair!

We've watched Denise pour her creativity into beautiful crafts over the years. From oversized wooden puzzles(I named that business Nice's Pieces) to quilts, knitted apparel, custom handmade beads and lots of wonderful dessert masterpieces.

It was poor lighting and I the only camera available was my iPhone, but I wanted to honor these great forever-friends. We love you both.
