Queen Ann's Lace...
I've had a completely uninterrupted day (well as close as i ever get to that idea!) and of course what gives me the most pleasure (that i can talk about here ) painting of course! i'm learning so much from seeing the way in which a particular artist i follow layers her images. she had done something like this a while ago and i remembered that. So, now that queen ann's lace is in absolute abundance around here and i've taken hundreds of photographs....i did a composition from a few different photographs.
I've also put up a blog post about the Marla Baggetta workshop that i'll be hosting here end of October. There are still a few spaces left if anyone fancies joining us!
One of the major interruptions came mid morning! I'd put out 4 boards of pots - each board can old about 30 cups or mugs - in the sunshine, to dry them more rapidly. about an hour later it started to rain, so Terry and i put a tarp over them, it might only be a short lived shower!!! Well, not! about 20 minutes after that it seemed the rain wasn't about to let up, so we headed out again, and had to bring all the boards back inside. no damage was done, but if i'd forgotten remember this!
I'm taking my sweet man out for dinner.....it's time !
