Calamity Pain

After storm watching last night with a few beers it was up for breakfast, clean up, shower and on the road to Biarritz.
We finally got here a week after arriving in France, I don't think any of us anticipated just how crowded it would be. Parking spaces for three VW T4's were virtually impossible to find.
We arrived on the beach at around 3:30, poor Josh went into the sea with his phone in his pocket, devastated doesn't begin to cover it, as he says it's not the phone it's the photos etc.
The beach was lovely, you can see why it's good for surfing, ten feet from the shore it was six feet deep and even on a day like today with no wind the waves had some power in them.
Fast food for convenience before heading north again to Mimizan but we have promised ourselves fish for tomorrow night.
The run north in the evening followed the coastal route, racing against the campsite gate closure at 2330.
I enjoyed it, but I wasn't driving, but we made it!
